They have created a new role to help drive innovation and need an exceptional Senior Developer / NPD Manager to join their growing team.

This is a hybrid role (3 - 4 days on site, sometimes less, sometimes more).

The Role

In this high-profile role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the innovation pipeline through the development of amazing premium products that are in line with the company’s commercial vision as well as their consumer-led values.

You will be managing products from concept to launch, delivering products that not only taste fabulous, but are technically and commercially sound too.  As well as NPD, you will also get involved with renovation projects so that all the products in the range are as good as they can be.

You will enjoy being creative but able to flex to apply your scientific know-how to come up with product and process solutions.  You’ll enjoy getting your foodie researcher hat on and seek out hot new trends, source stunning new ingredients, play with flavour combinations, and translate food trends into fabulous concepts. You will also be happy to roll your sleeves up and make sure production trials run smoothly.

The Person

We are looking for an NPD Manager with experience in frozen dairy products and ideally confectionery too.  A Food Science or Food Technology qualification is desirable for this role.

You’ll be really resourceful, proactive and enjoy finding solutions.  You will have a passion for food, understand the NPD process as well as technical aspects of product development. You will have a proven track record of developing hugely successful products and being highly adept at bringing products to market.

Great communication, interpersonal and influencing skills are also essential in order to work closely with key stakeholders and suppliers.

Suit an experienced Senior Product Developer or NPD Manager with lots of enthusiasm and tenacity combined with outstanding NPD management and organisational skills.  Being able to thrive in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment is essential as you will need to be able to take ownership of products, make decisions and drive projects to completion.
