
An experienced Credit Manager required for this highly successful FMCG business. OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTSPermanent roleHybrid role - 50/50 Home/Office basedExcellent benefits - Including: bonus, car allowance, competitive pension etc. THE CREDIT MANAGERContribute to the Company's top line growth, profitability and free cash flow metric by establishing customer credit limits to accommodate sales requirements. Focus is on international customers, where there will be extensive engagement. Key responsibilities will include:Analyses credit data and financial statements of businesses in the GMG markets largely non-US and emerging) to identify the degree of risk involved in extending credit in order to establish and/or recommend credit limits for new and existing customers within company guidelines and assigned approval limit.Assess international credit risk based upon country, political, currency and company risk to determine likelihood of collection and degree of risk based upon changing economic or political environment and communicate findings to management.Reduce country financial risks through the utilization of letters of credit, standby letters of credit, documentary collections (sight drafts), cross corporate guarantees, personal guarantees, security instruments and credit insurance. Manage special credit arrangements and/or deviations from standard terms of payment.Handle collection of past due invoice balances. Identify and resolve issues contributing to habitual delinquent payments. THE IDEAL CANDIDATEThis role is a critical member of our client's International Export (GMG) team, contributing to top line growth, profitability and free cash flow metric via establishment of customer credit limits to accommodate sales requirements. This role is heavily focused on engaging international customers and providing insight to the commercial and executive teams. Key candidate will have significant experience in a similar role within an FMCG, medical device or pharmaceutical company and:Experience of credit and collection experience (B2B, DTC) in international environments.Self-motivated with the ability to plan ahead and use initiative.Proficiency in business, anti-trust and bankruptcy laws.Proficiency in financial analysis including trends, working capital, operations understanding and interrelationships.Decision making - Ability to analyse and interpret data to make accurate and expedient decisions.Commercially aware with a clear focus on driving excellent financial & commercial performance.Awareness of developing and maintaining a framework of strong financial controls.
