About our Client
We are recruiting for an established business who are investing in a new business, and need a Technical Manager to join them to help set up the new factory and gained the relevant accreditations to enable them to start supplying retailers at the beginning of 2024.
About the Role
This is a fantastic vacancy for an experienced Technical Manager to join this start-up business and new team, where once the business is up and running you will lead on-site quality and food safety performance against agreed food safety KPI'S and operational targets. Team leadership of the Laboratory, Quality and Hygiene team. Responsible for site quality systems including compliance with BRCGS and all customer requirements. Identification of quality improvements, influencing their implementation. Communication with customers on all technical food safety and quality matters.
The Ideal Candidate
For this role, you will be ideally educated to degree level in food science, food technology or a food safety-related discipline. With a minimum of 5 years in a Technical Manager position. Ideally, you will have worked and have experience in the dairy industry.
Experience of managing a small team. HACCP and food safety qualified, ideally with working knowledge of microbiology and be lead auditor trained.
