Category Insight Analyst

We are recruiting for a Category Insight Analyst to join the fruit department of our client who are a well-established FMCG (food) business based in Huntingdon.
This role offers the opportunity to work within the commercial team of a highly successful business, delivering key products insights to ensure that the products offered are of the highest possible standard and meet with demand.
The purpose of the Category Insight Analyst is to develop a strong understanding of the consumer decision journey, to understand behaviours and to present this information to key stakeholders in order to help create market insights.
Salary
* £35-40K depending on relevant experience.

Category Insight Analyst - The Role:
* To prepare and present category insight information to key internal and external stakeholders with relevant recommendations.
* To question, understand and discuss the consumer decision journey, offering key insights into current and future thought processes.
* To regularly visit stores to understand commercial processes and to gain an understanding of the marketplace.
* Identify current and future market trends within both retail and ecommerce.
* To perform and utilise advanced analytics to drive insights, innovation, marketing spend, revenue management, production and supply.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience within a food/FMCG background
* Experience of working within Market Data Analysis within a large-scale operation.
* Strong presentation skills, able to communicate ideas in a straightforward way.
* Good commercial understanding of the business's retail customers and categories
* Able to collaborate and share ideas.
