Picture this.

You're sitting in your apartment overlooking the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

The year is 2028.

You get the call to confirm that the business that you have been running for the past five years has just been sold. At this point, you own 10% of the company and the business has just been sold for £150m.

It's taken a lot of blood, sweat (a lot of sweat - the mercury touches 40 degrees on a regular basis) and effort to get here. You've grown the business and opened new growing and production facilities across Thailand and Singapore. You've expanded the customer base across SE Asia and led the team through this change. But, now it's all paying off - quite literally. You'll need to continue in your role for the next two years as part of the sale agreement, but you can live with that.

You've earnt this moment and you've got some exciting plans for the money you're about to come into.

Over the last 5 years, day-to-day, you've lived and breathed the business. You've got hands-on with the growing of a variety of salads, fruit and vegetables and led the team to develop growing methods to be streets ahead of the competition. You've sold those products to supermarkets across SE Asia to deliver sustainable, profitable sales, taking the business from ~£20m in sales to £40m turnover and growing. You've built new glasshouses for production and developed the team to deal with the increased scale and reach of the business. You've bought the business into the 21st century from a marketing and branding perspective and added extra automation to make the business as efficient as possible.
