Production Manager - Fresh Produce

Location: Peterborough / Spalding

Salary – Circa 50k + benefits

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager to join our dynamic team in the fresh produce sector.

• Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the production operations, ensuring efficient and timely processing of fresh produce.
• Develop and implement production systems plans, schedules, and workflows to optimize productivity and meet production targets.
• Set & implement a range of KPI’s & operating expectations.
• Manage and lead a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with other departments such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to ensure seamless coordination and smooth operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a production management role within the fresh produce or FMCG sector.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with varying production demands.
