As far as roles go, this would be the perfect opportunity for a senior operations professional to take on a GM position in the food industry.
This assignment, in terms of exposure, challenge & rewards - we haven't seen many better.

The role is considerable, as the business is fast and complex and the existing team have achieved significant success in improving the process flow. But the real challenge lies in transitioning this operation into a new site and taking this manufacturing unit to the next level and making it truly world class.

Our client is one of the leading manufacturers in their respective market supplying produce to all the major multiple retailers and major foodservice operations nationwide.

Now ready to take their business to even further heights, they're looking for someone who can manage a team, execute a new site installation, control the margin mix and set and then deliver budgets by managing a capable team.

The opportunity will test your man management, planning and organisational skills as it is a 'hands on' culture, yet you will be given the opportunity to test your strategic thinking in creating a manufacturing unit that is simply way ahead of its competitors. There will be some customer interaction so good communication skills are a prerequisite, and due to the overall nature of the role you will have full P+L responsibility.

The salary is befitting for this senior role and includes a significant basic, car allowance and bonus opportunity.

Candidate Requirements / Non-Negotiables:
- 5+ years SLT experience managing a major food manufacturing operation with P+L accountability.
- Previous experience of transitioning a manufacturing unit into a new site.
- High-care/ volume production experience.
- Proven track record of delivering change in a manufacturing unit.
