This beloved brand are continuing to bring innovative and tasty products to consumers around the world. With a new vison and strategy in place, they are looking to grow their NPD team with a dynamic Product Developer that is bright, creative & capable.  

The Role 

Reporting to the Head of Food, you’ll be part of the innovation team, helping to accelerate growth plans for existing and new platforms. You’ll be proactively delivering a rich pipeline of innovation and unlocking sales within new categories.

Your role will encompass all aspects of NPD and you’ll work collaboratively with a small team who are as passionate about food and flavours as you are. You will take pride in undertaking category insights and competitor analyses to find gaps in the market and space for exciting new concepts. 

You’ll take ownership of NPD projects from ideation stage all the way through to product launch which will involve ideation, hands on recipe development, costings and presentations to the senior management team.  This will include building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers who you will work closely with on your innovation projects.  

The Person

The role would suit a passionate foodie who loves keeping up with the latest trends and has the ability to translate them into delicious yet commercially viable products.  

You’ll have experience as an NPD Technologist or Product Developer where you have gained concept to launch experience and a full understanding of the NPD cycle. You will be highly adept at creating new products as well as having detail conscious project management skills. You’ll also need be an excellent team player with confident presentation and communication skills.

Experience in any product area will be considered but bakery/ snacking would be desirable as would a food science or food technology qualification.  

Flexible working is offered and there will be travel between sites as well as to suppliers, so a full driving licence is needed.
