HSE Lead

£40,000 - £45,000

Wiltshire

Hey safety superstars and environmental enthusiasts! Our client, a top-notch blue chip food manufacturing company based in the sunny south west of England, is on the hunt for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor. And they need someone who's ready to shake things up and bring some serious HSE game to the table!

As the HSE Manager, you'll be the rockstar of safety, sustainability and all things environmental. From developing kickass policies and procedures to leading incident investigations, you'll be the top dog in the safety department. And let's be real, you'll be the life of the party too!

You'll have the chance to collaborate with the team, get creative with your training programs, and inspire others to take safety and sustainability seriously! And if that's not enough, you'll get to show off your HSE skills by monitoring and reporting on the company's performance, and liaising with regulatory bodies and external auditors like a pro!

So, what's the deal?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures that rock the socks off everyone!
  • Lead incident investigations and uncover the root cause of issues (like a safety detective!)
  • Stay on top of regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Develop and deliver fun and engaging training programs because who says safety can't be fun?
  • Monitor and report on the company's HSE performance, numbers don’t like and 0 is the best number when it comes to near misses and accidents.
  • Collaborate with external partners and regulatory bodies so you need to be a master of communication and negotiation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field (but let's be real, your safety skills are what really matter!)
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification
  • Proven experience in HSE management within the food manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, you will be a natural-born leader
  • A creative and fun-loving approach to HSE, which will engage the team.
