Opportunity to develop your career in the procurement team working for a food manufacturer supplying innovative food products to UK retail.
As Buyer you will be reporting into the Head of Procurement for a leading food manufacturer. You'll be working alongside an experienced team who will coach, train, and impart industry knowledge whilst supplying innovative food products to the UK retail market.
Due to the recent success and business growth, this newly created role of Buyer offers the opportunity to develop your career with a food manufacturer who supplies a great range of innovative products to top UK food retailers.
Working for this family business with core values of trust, fairness, and honesty will provide you with day-to-day exposure to a passionate, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable team of foodies who manufacture healthy choices and lead the market on quality, service, and value.
This role will suit a graduate with 12 months placement experience or an industry professional with buying experience in either the Food or FMCG sectors.
Day-to-day you'll be supporting the development and implementation of category strategies across both packaging and ingredients incorporating pricing, quality, service, sourcing, and supplier selection through supplier management and cost management.
You'll provide up-to-date knowledge of market trends, procurement practices, and innovation to ensure competitive prices, USP's, and to manage business risk.
You'll enjoy working in a fast-moving environment, be educated to graduate level or demonstrable relevant subject experience, IT literate with advanced excel skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
The role is office based for three days with two days working at home.
