About Our Client

Our client is a market-leading and innovative fresh produce business with a worldwide footprint. They are looking to strengthen their Technical team with the appointment of a Technologist on an FTC.

About the Job

Working as part of the Technical team, this role requires you to build strong working relationships with growers and customers. As Technologist you will maintain supplier risk assessments, manage a sampling and analysis programme - Pesticide, Microbiology and authenticity. Ensure that suppliers have up to date certification and due diligence documentation: Agricultural systems - Global Gap, F2F, TN, LEAF, Organic, packhouse - BRC & equivalent where necessary, due diligence will include - Warranty statements, pre-and post-harvest records, food contact packaging certification or migration results, Approved PPPL's. Ensure all suppliers have appropriate SEDEX registrations and related ethical compliance.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a creative and innovative thinker with experience of working in the food, fresh produce or horticulture sectors. You will be computer literate with excellent communication and presentation skills. A strong team player, you will be self-motivated and committed to personal development, demonstrating a professional approach and attitude. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not essential. A full UK driving licence is required.
