Your role

General Manager of Broiler Ops will provide focus on (broiler) spread and performance across the region and focus on hygiene, chick start and range of performance - leading Precision Management in full also. The job holder will lead stakeholder engagement with Agri Live Services Planning, Planning and all other interdependent functions and manage 3rd party contractors day to day. This will apply to all Broiler farms within the region - whether owned or contracted.

What you’ll need

• Extensive experience in broiler operations at senior management level. Due to the seniority of this position within our group management structure good and demonstratable management experience is to be expected in order to demonstrate the breadth and depth of expertise required to deliver the requisite growth and business process improvements.
• Experience collaborating with internal team members of all functions and retailers to deliver point of difference through initiatives such as higher welfare etc.
• Proven track record of success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of health, safety and welfare issues related to broiler operations.
• Commercially astute with sound financial management understanding e.g. EBIT.
• Strong people management skills with a proven track record in performance management techniques to include objective setting, delegation and constructive feedback.
• Sound decision maker
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Full driving licence with the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally to meet the needs of the job
