THE WASTE COORDINATOR

The Waste Coordinator role will involve day to day administration and liaison of all waste aspects, ensuring records are maintained. Ensuring the site operations are complaint to legislation. The Waste Coordinator is expected to drive improvements in the site that improve recycling rates, reduce waste generation, reduce costs and reduce Lean Wastes. Regular duties will include:

To ensure that weekly waste collections are completed and compliantEnsure correct labelling of waste across the sitesLiaise with Waste Company weeklyRaise Purchase Orders for waste collectionReport to site leadership team monthly metrics and improvement activitiesLiaise with US sustainability team, and report metrics

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have experience of a similar role within a manufacturing setting and/or a scientific background, such as from FMCG, Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals. They will also:

Experience of managing projects would be an advantage. Experience of working within the FMCG sector, is preferable.Experience working in waste management and improvement is desirable, but not essentialExcellent interpersonal and influencing skillsEffective communicator at all levels. Good presentation skills and ability to conduct effective meetings and presentations with large teams.Bias for action, with a professional and positive approach - a can do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile when required
