Quality Assurance Supervisor Food -Brighouse, West Yorkshire

This role is permanent, full time, office based in Brighouse and we are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.

Salary up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.

Office hours 9 to 5 week days, with an hour for lunch, 23 days holiday per year plus public holidays. Company pension scheme, staff discount scheme, free car parking, smart/casual dress code.

We’re looking for a motivated QAS with proven experience to join our team, to support the expansion of our gluten free manufacturing facility, as well as our wider ingredient distribution business.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, this is a varied role, working across departments, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all systems and procedures are followed to meet quality standards, legal requirements and customer expectations.

Based in Brighouse, we’re a supportive and motivated team, focused on providing the best products and service to our valued customers.

Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, no shifts or weekends

Main responsibilities:

• A broad role, working across departments, on food quality and safety issues
• HACCP and food safety procedures
• Internal audits
• Sampling & testing
• Monitoring of CCPs
• Finished product quality
• Hygiene, housekeeping, traceability, allergen management
• Investigations on quality issues
• QAS documentation
• Support during audits/customer visits
• Improve and drive the sites’ quality performance

Qualifications & Skills:

• Drive and self motivation to do a good job and progress is important
• Food manufacturing experience essential, minimum 4 years
• HND or degree in food technology desirable but not essential
• HACCP Level 2
• Level 2 Food Safety Internal auditing advantage
• Good attention to detail Computer literate (Excel & Word)
• Good communication skills
