I’m working with a leading Packaging company and have an opportunity that will give you full site responsibility with the aim to help push the company to the next steps in their big plans and help grow the business!

The company has seen exceptional growth over the past few years and continues to grow exponentially. For them to adhere to their huge yet very achievable plans, they need an General Manager who not only knows what good looks like but how to implement it.

With full accountability for the day-to-day operation as well as supporting and executing a continuous improvement plan, you will need to be someone who can multitask well and delegate where necessary. Previous experience at this level and working within the Print / Packaging industry is a must, as you will need to hit the ground running.

You will need to be an inspirational and charismatic leader with the ability to drive performance and inspire the team around you. As with any senior role, the ability to drive culture and operational change is pivotal, as well as delivering sustainable change through Lean Manufacturing principles.

Being a true leader of people and having an operationally focused mindset will be pivotable in this role.

If you are applying to this role, I am guessing you will have bags of experience within Factory Management, turning around sites, commissioning new equipment and driving performances. These will be essential skills all employers will be looking for. A massive one for my client is managing people and process to the very best and pushing performance from the shop floor upwards.
