The Ideal Candidate:

You will ideally be a recent graduate with an interest in the Retail/Wholesale industry who is looking to build a career within Sales and Marketing. Alternatively, if you have had recent success in a sales role within the food industry, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills will take you far in this role. Confidence in communicating and negotiating with customers in a professional manor are a must.

Critical thinking with good judgement and a technical mindset are all core requirements to you being successful in this role. Being persuasive but also collaborative and honest will take you a long way in this position and will lead to success in the role.

You will be passionate about food and food trends with a willingness to learn and expand their knowledge in the industry.

About the Role:

In this role you will be supporting the Business Development Manager in the management of the current customer base in addition to bringing in new customers into the business.

As this is an all-encompassing role, you will begin by providing all administrative support, forecasts, and sales reports. This will allow you to learn about the company, existing customers, products, and company culture. This will eventually lead to some account management and business development.

Working alongside the Business Development Manager you will learn to deliver excellent customer management, drive new sales opportunities and day-to-day management of the business.

This role will also include a bit of travel to trade and consumer shows in the industry.

About the Client:

Our client is an ever-growing Wholesale business who services Independent shops, Wholesalers, Health Food Trade as well as Food Manufacturers and Foodservice Customers. They are a small business which allows each and every employee to be hands on and get involved with the business on a day-to-day basis.
