Warehouse Operative

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Reach or Counterbalance Truck Driver/ Warehouse Operative to join this well-established European Food Business supplying bakery products to a range of major supermarkets.

You will need to have a Reach or Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence

Competitive salary - £29,047.00Working Hours for Warehouse Operative are on a 3 on 3 off shift pattern days and nights (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)Overtime available

A major European Food Manufacturing Group that operates on a 24/7 basis to supply bakery products to over 50 countries across five continents.

THE ROLE

You will need to have worked in a food distribution or warehousing environment

Working from 07.00 to 19.00 and 19.00 to 07.00 on a 3 on - 3 off, rotating shift pattern (paired Days and Nights) you will be responsible for:

Ensuring adherence to all technical procedures and work instructionsEnsuring accuracy of stock put away, picking, receipt and despatchProviding assistance during stocktakeEnsuring and maintaining standards of good behaviour, flexibility and safe practiceAttending regular operative meetings to discuss performance, issues and company progress

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Must have a background in a Warehouse environment within the food industry from either manufacturing or distribution Must be Warehouse hydraulic platform trainedReach Truck and CounterBalance licences are essential.Push Back (4 deep racking) experience will be beneficial.Must have basic computer skills including MS Excel.Ability to prioritise vehicle movements in line with timed departure and delivery windows. Preferred to be Sky jack trained in line with working at height regulations for pallet retrieval.
