We are delighted to be working with a large FMCG company to assist with the recruitment of a Lead Engineer for their site based close to Ely
This day shift operates on a Panama shift pattern arrangement which equates to 77 hours per fortnight. The shift times are 06:00 - 18:00.

The Job Role

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join the Engineering Department and provide an effective and professional engineering service covering key responsibilities below:


* You will lead, support and coach your team in a "hands-on" manner to provide an effective customer service to the site.
* Deputise the Engineering Manager during any planned or un-planned absence should it fall on your designated shift.
* Provider of a reactive crisis breakdown service both mechanically and electrically for operational success.
* Will not only communicate during crisis break-down but will actively seek to collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure service rates to our customers remain on target.
* Proactively prioritise and own, through to completion, tasks generated and issued to the team via. the "Engineering Priorities Log" and projects issued by Maintenance Manager or Developments
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing schedules and overhaul of site plant, machinery, and equipment in accordance with site schedules and needs.
* Understand, participate, and support the delivery of site performance
* Conduct quarterly 1-2-1's with your
* Maintain the engineering log and shift hand-over, recording all aspects of work carried out on site plant, machinery and equipment, to include details of faults, remedies, parts used, relevant info and outstanding issues, provider of information for CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) delivery.
* The control of Contractors ensuring duty of care is upheld and work practices of all are safe and in-line with company policies and procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:
* Exposure to a hands-on engineering environment
* Teamwork
* PPM Delivery
* City & Guilds 2323 Proven PLC and electrical controls fault finding
* H&S aware/qualification
* Strong numeracy levels Excellent fault-finding skills Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable:
* Food Industry FMCG
* Working with a CMMS
* Time served, indentured Electro-Mechanical (Multi-Skilled) apprenticeship
* Relevant C&G, NVQ, SEMTA, EMTA,
* ENTRA in applicable subjects Omron PLC training
* 17th edition
* AutoCAD
* Ability to produce wiring diagrams.
