Job Details

We are delighted to be working with a Family owned FMCG Business within the Boston area to assist with their recruitment of a Multi-Skilled Engineer.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for site and subsidiary buildings. Undertaking installation, routine, preventative and reactive maintenance; working on a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems. In addition to any other duties as instructed by senior management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Part of a technical team engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures and the utility systems of buildings and grounds, along with utilising the company preventative maintenance software systems (PEMAC).
* To carry out repairs and maintenance work and routine testing in all Company buildings, including subsidiary buildings and Company equipment and plant.
* To repair/maintain the light machinery used within the Company including chill systems, washers, hoppers and packaging equipment and ancillary material handling equipment such as auto-loaders, conveyors and elevators.
* To carry out regular safety and conditioning checks leading to repair or replacement of components in each category such as bearings, timing belts, drive belts, motor and gearbox units, various belting, drive and idle shafts, guide wheel, sealing jaws, pins, drive gears and chains.
* To operate the computerised process control systems, and PCs used in the manufacturing process.
* To be able to read relevant engineering drawings and specifications and to utilise these in fault diagnosis leading to repair PLCs, drives and associated control circuits, pneumatics and hydraulics.
OTHER DUTIES
* Always ensure good housekeeping practices within your area of responsibility.
* Ensure applicable Health & Safety and Environmental procedures are strictly always adhered to.
* To perform any other duties as directed by Senior Management.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Knowledge of plant and facilities maintenance.
* Technical skills evidenced by experience/training.
* Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with tasks without supervision.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to use computer systems to assist with job.
* Skills in handling and solving problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.





QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience
* Min 3 years' experience in a previous or similar role.
* Good Communication Skills.
* Engineering Qualification
