Engineering Manager

One of the leading manufacturers in the area is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team and head up all functions of the engineering department on site. The company has been on an upward trajectory for the last 18 months and is now in a position where they are looking for an Engineering Manager to take them to the next level.

This role will be very focused on improving the current PPM schedule in place and improving downtime across production while also covering the entire strategy of the department to ensure it is having a positive impact on business performance as well as working with all other teams on site ensuring optimal performance is achieved. Typical duties could include day-to-day management maintenance (proactive and reactive) and the PPM scheduling, As the site continues to grow you will also be involved in overseeing all projects and continuous improvements on site, budget management, people training and development and KPI setting and implementation etc. Any experience covering health and safety will also be an advantage.

The right individual will need to show the ability to present facts and figures to senior management and be able to present previous achievements in this area you will need to have experience working in a senior engineering position while also being a strong character to implement change and improvement across the department, Ideally, you will have worked in the FMCG of the manufacturing industry as well. If you are a time-served engineer with further C&G qualifications, this is desirable. Any supporting qualifications across engineering, management, and health and safety (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH) are also advantageous.
