R&D Manager / Director – FMCG, UAE!
Location: United Arab Emirates
Protea Recruitment is delighted to work with a progressively and aggressively growing business in their next progression plan are looking for several R&D Managers / Directors across an array of different products
The products roles my client is looking for are:
- A Pringles-style product
- A Toblerone Style Product
- Instant Hot chocolate /cocoa product
- Cream-filled Oreo-style product.
Before I start with the role profile, please note my client is looking for like-for-like experience as it is a full-time or contract consulting position.
Location: United Arab Emirates
Salary Package: Salary- £80K-£160K (UK) tax-free per year (dependent upon experience) plus standard benefits like medical, flights etc. This is open to candidates travelling on a single status or family.
The role is based in the UAE.
The role:
- R&D and Innovations within the ranges mentioned above.
- Identify and develop new technology platforms and opportunities to drive better and faster innovation.
- Initiate R&D innovation which results in new products to support marketing programs/promotions to deliver 100% customer satisfaction and achieve the company’s business goals.
- Lead new product development projects from concept to full launch, including but not limited to developing product recipes, ingredients, sourcing suppliers, approving suppliers, selecting equipment, and developing ops procedures and manuals.
- Ensure the business is current with new technologies, product concepts, flavour trends, packaging technologies, and health and nutrition issues.
- Responsible for developing new and improving existing products from the concept to launch
- Documentation and online modification of recipes, routing and formulas in ORACLE.
Job Specifications:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in food science or any related field with certified training experience in light food products from credible institutes
- Minimum five years of experience in food innovation or new product development plus solid marketing knowledge within the abovementioned product at the management level.
- Proficiency in English communication and presentation skills
- Strong in innovation, Driven for a result, and familiar with a fast-paced working environment.
