About Our Client
We are working with a leading fresh produce importer who packs a range of fresh produce for retail and food service customers.
About the Job
Ensure supplier compliance with all ethical, food safety and environmental policies across the supply chain including approving suppliers, packhouses and growers.
Liaise with suppliers to collate accurate information and file the records on the due diligence platforms.
Monitor Due Diligence throughout the supply period and investigate any incidences of non-compliance near misses
Manage chemical risk assessments and routine surveillance testing including approving testing results for compliance with UK and EU legislation.
Investigate incidences of MRL exceedance and any non-compliant detections.
Perform supplier recall and traceability exercises.
The Ideal Candidate
This will suit an experienced Technical Assistant looking for a new challenge within fresh produce
Ideally, degree qualified and have a keen interest in paperwork
Ideally, you will have experience of BRC, HACCP, SEDEX, Food Safety etc
Good attention to detail
Good IT skills
