Senior Technical Manager

The Company

The company are seeking a proactive Senior Technical Manager to champion the safety, quality and legality of their products as well as support the innovation of new products.

The Role

In this is diverse position you will drive and maintain the highest product quality standards for existing and new product projects. You will seek to maintain legislative and regulatory compliance across the entire product portfolio. Along with this you will be on hand as the technical expert, investigating and resolving any quality issues, developing quality management and specification systems and monitoring industry developments to guarantee the brand continues to set market leading standards for quality and innovation.

You will create team synergy across the wider business, communicating any technical changes, driving continuous improvement and new agendas to achieve future success. Along with liaising internally, you will take pride in building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to achieve customer satisfaction and product excellence throughout. You will also visit co-manufacturer and customer sites acting as the company’s quality and technical guardian to ensure needs are heard and standards are met.

The Person

We are looking for an energetic, ambitious and exceptional Technical Manager, ideally with a Food Science / Technology Degree and previous experience of working in a chilled, plant-based or dairy focused role. Exceptional understanding of production, manufacturing and microbiology in relation to food. You will be an intuitive, rational thinker and have experience of working with third party / co-manufacturing partners. You will have strong knowledge of the regulatory framework such as EU claims, product safety, HACCP and BRC experience. You will also have experience dealing with major retailors and own label projects.

Familiar with working in a fast paced environment, you will need excellent communication, stakeholder management, planning and organisational skills, along with the ability to make a positive impact in this ambitious business. In addition, you’ll be adept at managing multiple projects, be detail conscious and have a structured approach in order to keep up with the pace of business growth.
