OUR CLIENT

Is a successful food manufacturing business and is fast moving with an impressive operation and management team. They supply premium quality food products to the retail food sector, especially the major multiples.

THE PRODUCTION PLANNER ROLE

The successful candidate will take responsibility for planning production across a large supplier base to ensure that customer demands are met and stock levels maintained. The ability to work well under pressure and communicate with the sales team and Shop floor line managers is essential, as is the ability to maintain accurate information in Excel.

To ensure that planning production meets customer demands - involving regular stock checks, ensuring all company policies are adhered to in terms of sourcing, seasonal changes and regional requirements.Produce a daily plans taking into account sales orders stock levels and customer order requirementsTo set up, monitor and plan ahead to ensure raw materials meet planned promotions through accurate forecastingMonitoring the usage of raw materials each day against the standard usage determined from the production forecastsTo liaise closely with key stakeholders including Procurement, Commercial team, Plant Manager, Production line managers and Logistics - ensuring all parties are kept up to date with potential issuesLiaise directly with suppliers where necessary - ensuring good lines of communication are upheldTo work closely with stock control ensuring 100% accuracy of all information for end of week accountsResponsible for preparation and accuracy of daily yield analysis for senior management teamCreating accurate timely KPI reports on a daily basisTo ensure all spreadsheets are filled in accurately and kept up to date

THE CANDIDATE

Must Demonstrate a high level of competence in the area of Planning, attention to detail, accuracy, problem solving and the ability to multitask under the constraint of time scales. Other Key skills will include:

Previous experience in a similar role is essentialExperience within the food industry is advantageous but not essentialExcellent Excel knowledge High level of communication skills, both written and oralAbility to think on their feet and solve problemsExcellent organisational skills including the ability to multi task
