General Manager

We are working exclusively with a food manufacturer, who are a profitable and growing business with a brilliant story behind them, in the search for a General Manager to lead their team in the Northeast. The General Manager they are searching for will be numbers and shopfloor driven and will take the site to the next level! As part of this role you will have full site responsibility with all functions reporting into you.

The person that will be successful as the General Manager will be:

• A great coach and team builder

• Hands on in their approach and gets things done
• Confident in their knowledge and voice issues easily

The company have a longstanding history behind them, growing from a small business unit to a big name within food manufacturing. Pairing this with their strong relationships with retailers and customers, they are a force to be reckoned with! They have big plans going forward for their people, ensuring that the site is a great place to work and thrive.

The experience you need is:

• A background in food manufacturing is preferred, however a background of working with complexity would be ideal
• A background with Operational leadership
• Exposure to working with teams wider than production
• A demonstrable background with delivering change and improvements
• Knowledge around CI and automation would be advantageous

Some of the key responsibilities of the General Manager will be to:

• Lead and motivative all site functions in order to deliver business goals and objectives
• Develop the teams and coach them to industry best practice and create high levels of accountability
• Drive the best practice and CI mentality at the site to improve standards and performance
• Play a key role in transforming the site in order to reach its full potential
• Liaising with and maintaining strong relationships with retailers and customers
