One for our night shift colleagues - In this one you'll get every other weekend will be a long weekend off! Sounds pretty good. You'll also get to chance to affect real change. The engineering function is under ground a bit of a face lift under new leadership so some external talent is really what we need.

We've got an opportunity for a ­multi-skilled engineer to be part of the existing engineering team to help drive towards set goals. As an engineer, you'll be showcasing your skills both mechanically and electrically addressing reactive and planned maintenance to keep machinery to the required standard.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Minimising machinery downtime
  • Completion of reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance
  • Some of the machinery you will be working with, will be; conveyors, weighing machines, bagging machines, heat seal machines and optical sensors
  • Identifying areas for continuous improvement
  • Optimising manufacturing functions

Preferences:

  • City and Guilds ONC/NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline

The position is a night shift, based on the Panama shift pattern(2's &3's), = working half the year! Sounds nice, don't it? Some savvy play with some holidays and you're definitely onto a winner!

This could be the perfect answer for someone wanting to do part time contracting elsewhere or for someone on 4 on 4 off, that wants a lot of weekends back!!
