This is a great opportunity for a talented food Buyer to join a hugely successful, speciality food business.
The business is at the forefront of food innovation with a global supply base and is well respected within the retail, foodservice, and food manufacturing sectors.
To meet the ever-increasing demands of their clients, they are now looking for an additional Senior Buyer to join their established procurement function. They are looking for a bright, ambitious Buyer with previous experience of working within the food manufacturing or foodservice sector.
Reporting into a Category Manager you will be part of a team looking after European and UK based suppliers. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of suppliers and projects within your category, ensuring that the expected quality of products are sourced at the right price within the right timescales. As such, the role will require long-term planning and commitments to raw materials so experience of working within an international food buying function would be very beneficial.
The business is hugely innovative in terms of food products, so you will work closely with the NPD teams, supporting new launches and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
The supply based is hugely varied - from local farmers in Spain to large well-known international suppliers. The complexity of the supply base call for someone with fantastic supplier relationship skills, someone who can really take ownership and drive forward their category. You will need to be super enthusiastic, have fantastic communication and negotiations skills and be looking for an opportunity to really progress your career.
The role requires international travel and gives you the flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week.
