Multi-skilled Engineer

Henderson Brown is delighted to be working with one of the fastest growing major foods brands in the UK to assist with the recruitment of a Multi-Skilled Engineer.

Main roles and responsibilities:
· The day-to-day maintenance requirements of two sites both within close proximity of each other.
· Maintaining the planned maintenance schedule.
· Ensuring all equipment is maintained in a safe condition and to the agreed standards.
· Contribute towards continuous improvements projects.
· Acting as cover for the Engineering Manager as required.

Key Responsibilities:
· Ensuring a focus on H&S within the maintenance department.
· Manage maintenance teams activities within the two sites.
· Minimising down-time at the sites due to maintenance issues.
· Instigate and contribute to any Continuous Improvement projects.
· Ensuring all Preventative and Reactive Maintenance actions are logged on the CMMS and completed within the agreed time frame.
· Completion of accurate maintenance documentation and other pertinent records.
· Control the parts inventory, critical parts list and order required parts within agreed limits.
· Supporting the Engineering Manager with the Maintenance & Repair of all sites fixed & mobile machinery according to the Maintenance Plan.
· To assist the Engineering Manager in new equipment purchases & installations

Key Skills Required:
· Be driven by the requirement for continuous improvement.
· A minimum of 3 years people management experience within a multi-disciplined engineering team.
· A minimum of 3 years mechanical / electrical experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG business.
· Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
