You are passionate about your industry. The processes you have implemented have saved your business significant amounts of money. You have developed Procurement teams and helped them to grow. Now it's your turn for something new.

Your Challenge

You will head up the procurement for a £300m group with a complex product mix. But don't worry. The team around you is outstanding. They have all been with the business for years and one of them even came back because they missed it so much!

Your task will be to guide and lead the department and ensure the procurement strategy is strong in this crazy climate we find ourselves in.

You will have overall responsibility for every chilled food category you can think of, as well as all of the packaging and indirects as well. As such, you will need experience in similar products.

You won't have one single point of work. Your team will be spread across their sites and as such you will need to travel to be super effective.

The business

They have history stretching back over 90 years. They have a great relationship with their customers (mainly retailers), a great product offering covering a range of categories and a multi site presence.

This role is currently being covered by their CCO and you would ultimately report into them. Thanks to the strength of the team, this is possible, but not sustainable in the long term. Thats where you come in.
