Abbie started with the business in 2020 and has been promoted to lead a larger part of the supply chain team. Her story is proof that most vacancies here are filled from within - which means that this could not only be your next job, but the one after that as well.

You probably want to know what's involved.

If you've worked in the fresh food or fresh produce supply chain for a couple of years elsewhere, you'll likely know what you'd need to do. Keep the growers happy. Keep the customers happy. Ensure you have enough products to fulfil orders, but not so much that you end up throwing excess products away.

You'll work in central London in a cool building next to a funky café and close to all amenities and train stations. Once you're fully trained, you'll be able to do more work from home too. You'll be able to come to the office as much as you want or for key meetings ~2-3 times a month.

The business has moved onto a four-on, four-off shift pattern recently. This will give you loads of work-life balance and time to travel etc but will mean working some weekends. They know this won't be for everyone but finds that it works great for their team and gives them loads of downtime.

You'll work within a small team of 17, with access to the senior members of the team and directors, who will give you the support and help you need to develop your skills and career.

If you care about such things, you might like to know that despite being a small team, the business is backed by two larger businesses and is vertically integrated. This offers a greater amount of security than a typical business of their size.

By the way, if you're wondering about qualifications, don't worry. You might have a degree, but it doesn't matter if not, as long as you're degree-quality. If you already know your way around Excel, you'll quickly feel at home here. If not, they'll train you.
