Job Details

The Production Shift Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of production supervisors and staff ensuring labour and work is allocated appropriately in order to gain maximum efficiencies. The Production Shift Manager will improve and contribute to continuous improvement of plant, process and people through data gathering, analysis and production of action plans.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Shift handovers
  • Hold investigations
  • Customer complaint investigations
  • Internal corrective actions ensuring they are followed through
  • Production data entry
  • Production and Schedule variances
  • Allocation of labour resource
  • Plant Performance Measurement and Generation of KPI data
  • Understand all HACCP principles and respects and manages CCP procedures. HACCP Level 3
  • To maintain staff discipline and maintain records of incidents as appropriate, involving HR when necessary
  • Recognise training levels, ability and competencies within their team and ensures the correct skills are used in the correct place
  • Resolves stoppages or deviations from standard (or escalate as appropriate) using defined procedures or by selecting from a range of known solutions based on training and/or experience
  • Suggests and implements improvements in Ways of Working to improve standards, maximise efficiency and help achieve and exceed company KPIs
  • Maintain a safe working environment and assist in the building of a positive and successful Safety culture
  • Maintain audit ready status of all areas in terms of hygiene housekeeping and adherence to GMP principles
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday (shift work). 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm rotating week on week.
