Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious QA to join their business.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.

Key Tasks:

* Conduct audits of the manufacturing facility with respect to GMP, hygiene, glass and other foreign bodies and compliance to procedures.
* Support and co-ordinate with Technical on customer complaint investigations to find root cause of complaints and support identification of preventative action as appropriate.
* Support the site product assessment systems to ensure products made are of the required quality and meet customer agreed specifications.
* Co-ordinate sending of samples to onsite laboratory for analysis according to site schedules, trend and interpret results, escalating where out of specification.
* Conduct swabbing activities (micro and allergen) according to site schedule and as support for production during free from production or site validation/verification activities.
* Manage communication board, write food safety flyer and report on hot food safety culture topics.

Skills/Experience:

* Relevant experience as a QA Technician within food manufacturing.
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
* Great listening skills and strong organizational skills.
* Display a full understanding of a QA Technician requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
