This privately owned chilled food business supplies amazing products for the UK major multiples and are continually investing in and developing high quality, hearty products to guarantee continued excellence. They are now looking for a highly capable Technical Assistant to support the team in their mission of success.

The Role

In this essential role you’ll support the Technical Services and Compliance Manager through ensuring customer and legal requirements are met across the entire product range through a variety of technical administrative tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:
         
·    To assist and process with customer complaint investigations 
·    To ensure timely generation of customer and internal KPI 
·    To update, maintain, and develop complaint and trending systems 
·    To issue factory paperwork and maintain archive 
·    To conduct and coordinate project work to support and develop the current technical systems 
·    To gain exposure to all functions of the technical department, interacting with other relevant departments 

The Person

This role would suit a Food Science or Technology graduate looking to kickstart their technical career. Ideally you will have completed an industry placement and gained fundamental knowledge of food manufacturing, HACCP and compliance and legislation. A confident communicator, with great numeracy and advanced IT skills who can complete all tasks with detail and accuracy.

You’ll be handling projects and liaising with colleagues at all business levels, so organisation and the ability to prioritise is key. You’ll also need to be proactive and able to use your own initiative, thinking outside the box to consistently reach and exceed high technical standards. 

We are seeking candidates who possess a full UK driving license and can commute to the South East London/ Kent area with ease. Additionally if you do not have a full UK driving license but are willing to relocate to the area then please feel free to apply also.
