Job Title: Technical Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

The Role

• Key member of the Technical team ensuring company’s products comply with all internal and external policies and legislations
• Maintain SALSA accreditation standard and lead technical site audits for both internal compliance with Quality Management Systems and external audits for customers
• Manage a team of 2 technical and quality assistants
• Champion Technical excellence on site
• Identify areas of improvement
• Investigate customer complaints, analyse trends and manage HACCP plan

The Candidate

• Food science or technology degree or equivalent
• Over 5 years experience working in Technical or Quality Department within Food manufacturing
• Knowledge of HACCP and SALSA accreditation with customer facing and auditing experience
• Great track-record of managing teams and effectively addressing issues with legislative policies and procedures
• Frozen and chilled experience is an advantage
