We’ll give you a bit of context on why this role has been created –
Firstly, we are a busy business! At any one time, we are recruiting for anywhere upwards of 200 permanent vacancies for our clients across the UK. This is split between about 100 different companies. 95% of these companies are in the food industry, we’re talking some of the biggest manufacturers of all our childhood favourites, then we’ve got the new kids on the block that have invented the newest plant-based ice-cream alternative (as an example). The industry is always changing, as are the requirements of our clients. Whilst we have a great team of Recruitment Consultants, they just don’t have the time to do everything which is where you come in!
Daily your role is going to split into a few key areas. It won’t be anything new as this is what all the best Account Managers are already doing. You’ll be pulling together data to help you build a strategy of where your time needs to be spent. Most of this time will be with our existing Clients, some of these businesses have been with us from the beginning, and it’s crucial that they get the time and support they deserve. You won’t be there to upsell them at every opportunity, this isn’t one of those roles. You’ll be looking for every opportunity to add more value to them! This could come in the form of data, trends, statistics, surveys, brand growth, and insight into what their reputation really is. If you’re helping them, that’s all that matters. You’ll be working closely with the team to identify opportunities to do more, do differently, and do better. You’ll be on the phone for most of the day. When you’re not on the phone you’ll probably be out on site with these clients spending the time to really understand what more we can be doing to support them with their needs. Then you’ll be back in the office relaying these plans to the wider team and agreeing on the next steps.
