Engineering Manager

Your role:

In the Engineering Manager role you'll report to the General Manager and will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of engineering activities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and machinery are operating efficiently and effectively. You will also provide leadership and technical guidance to the engineering team to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You’ll also be responsible for:
- Manage and lead the engineering team to ensure efficient and effective operation of all equipment and machinery used in our production process
- Develop and implement maintenance and repair programs to ensure that all equipment is well-maintained and in good working order
- Ensure that all engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Work with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery
- Develop and manage the departmental budget
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.

Your experience:

To be the right person for Engineering Manager role you will need good leadership and people management skills, technical knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and machinery, and change management experience.

You’ll also need:
- Electrical and mechanical experience
- Experience of PLC, computerised analogue, and digital control systems
- Experience of managing Capex projects.
