Job Details

Business Development Manager | Fresh Produce | Liverpool

The Ideal Candidate

You will have a proven track record of growing sales within a territory in the foodservice sector and will be able to show your drive and enthusiasm for building long-term relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You will be organised and make the most of your time by effectively planning customer visits and processing orders. Ideally, you will have experience in the fresh produce sector, but this is not a must if you are a foodie and have chilled/fresh food experience in the foodservice sector and you are able to work at pace, given the short shelf life of the products in question. You will be a strong communicator and an overall team player.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a track record of growing sales within the foodservice or out-of-home sector. You will have a great, can-do attitude and be driven to deliver results.

About the Role

This role is all about delivering sales in the independent foodservice and out-of-home sector in the Liverpool region. You will utilise your experience to approach chefs, restaurateurs, business owners etc to deliver new business. You will also manage existing accounts to aid account growth and deliver YOY results. You will be a competent negotiator and be able to address prices with confidence, whilst building long-term relationships with clients.

About Our Client

Our client is the world's leading fresh produce provider, who supply retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice channels with quality products across the country and are a leading business in the sector. They have a great amount of scope and opportunity for progression and development. Whilst it is a massive, global business, they retain a close-knit community and family feel.

Application Process

The successful applicant will move through a two-stage interview process; an initial face-to-face meeting followed by a final stage in person interview.
