Automation Engineer - Food Manufacturing

Monday - Friday days

 

Overview

Are you an automation engineer looking for your next career move? If so, a food manufacturer in the area are looking to add to their team and this could be the next move for you. This opportunity is with a national company so you will be working alongside more of the top automation engineers in the country. As an automation engineer, you will be a key player in the site electrical team and be a go-to member of the daily shift to ensure production levels are maintained. 

 

Responsibilities for the Automation Engineer

  • Proactive maintenance and site PMs with an electrical focus
  • PLC fault finding and some programming 
  • Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns
  • Working on automation projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations) 
  • Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output

    Requirements for the Automation Engineer

  • Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in an automation or electrical engineering subject
  • Experience working in a automation positions previously 
  • Confident working on major brands of PLC (fault finding and ideally programming)
  • Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
