Site Technical Manager

We are looking for a Site Technical Manager who can lead the QA and Laboratory team for a rapidly expanding and market-leading brand! 

This is a newly created role reporting to the Head of Technical working with award-winning products!

The Role:

To organise, control, develop and maintain the technical standards and ways of working, establishing good manufacturing practice and ensuring compliance in respect to legislative, regulatory, and customer standards.

The role will liaise with internal and external customers, ensuring consumer confidence is retained within our products. This will require focus and responsibility for the development of the QA, specifications, laboratory, and hygiene functions within the team.

Responsibility for ensuring the manufacturing of all products conforms with statutory and customer/consumer requirements.

Developing all aspects of Technical performance specifically GMP and Food Safety Standards, ensuring Technical best practices are established and adopted within the site.

What we are looking for:

Degree qualified in a Food Science discipline

Experience within chilled food manufacturing would be advantageous

Experienced Systems auditor and HACCP qualified.

Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing Food Safety Systems

Ability to lead and deliver a comprehensive Technical/ Quality standard Training and Development initiative

Excellent communication and people management skills.

Able to work in a controlled manner under pressure and demonstrate abilities as an influencer.

Ability to utilize lean techniques.
