Job Description

We have just been briefed by a new client who, due to expansion, is looking to expand and have a newly created position within Human Resources.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner looking for a stand-alone role to develop and deliver the critical HR objectives for a processing facility in the heart of Scotland.

Reporting to the board, you will provide generalist HR Support whilst giving guidance and advice to the line managers of this well-known facility. 

  • You will lead in ensuring effective employee and industrial relations, adherence to company and statutory policies and procedures and management of the site's hourly-paid recruitment strategy.
  •  Partner with site leadership to develop a people plan that supports site objectives and lead on all HR-related activities – including employee relations, industrial relations, restructures, employee engagement, labour and strategic workforce planning, talent strategy and people development plans
  • Management/Training/inclusion/career development/ talent building)
  •  Employee relations - provide an accessible and professional HR function whereby employee queries and issues are resolved in an appropriate, timely and legally compliant manner, minimizing the risk of litigation and improving communications
  • Payroll accurately delivers monthly payroll activity and contribute to HR system development activity. Ensure effective HR administration of all activity within policy and procedure.

Requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • Have good generalist experience within a manufacturing facility; FMCG is essential, and Drinks or Food is preferred.
  • A practical understanding of employment legislation and law will ensure you provide professional, confident, and accurate employment advice at all levels, including dismissal.
  • CIPD Qualified
  • Experience in Payroll, reviews and disciplinaries
