Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Quality or Technical Manager to join their business.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and legality are met and exceeded
* Maintain and update the Quality/Technical Manual and policies and procedures
* Co-ordinate regular HACCP meetings and manage the implementation of customer standards
* Liaise with customers and manage customer visits and presentations
* Manage and oversee the quality team and carry out internal auditing of systems
* Monitor and maintain customer/supplier specifications and capture customer complaints and trends
* Adaptable to travel within and outside of the UK on business as and when required
* Maintain a health and safety orientated environment for self and others
* Report any offensive or malicious behaviour to management
* Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary to the needs of the business

Requirements:

* Understanding of QC procedures and customer specifications
* Knowledge of the Prophet system and advanced I.T skills
* Level 4 food safety, Internal auditor, Level 3 HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and basic food hygiene trained
* Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) as a minimum
* Internal audit qualification, Intermediate HACCP qualification as a minimum, and trained to BRC requirements
* Good communication and problem solving skills, and understanding of the industry
