Head of Commercial

Our client, a significant player in the food manufacturing and fresh produce sector is looking to strengthen their team by the appointment of a Head of Commercial to set the commercial strategy and develop and lead the commercial team.

Reporting in to the Managing Director, you will be accountable for managing relationships at a senior level, delivering the commercial strategy and driving profitable growth in the business. You will be tasked with personally looking after their major customer acting as first point of call, and so in order to maximise the potential of the business we need candidates to be strategic in outlook, creative in thinking and pragmatic and hungry in their approach.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone with senior commercial experience who has experience of dealing with the major multiples, someone who can forge relationships at a senior level and someone who has managed a commercial team before. Ideally you will have fresh produce or short shelf life food sales experience however someone with food manufacturing or FMCG would equally be relevant. With strong commercial knowledge and understanding, you will be a highly driven and motivated individual who is driven by results and who has a natural inclination to grow a business.

The salary is negotiable upon experience but includes a significant basic salary and strong, performance driven bonus + benefits
