Stock Controller - Full time role

The Stock Controller will oversee the stock up process for Production and all stock monitoring processes with particular reference to accuracy, quality, hygiene and safety in line with company policy.
Working pattern - Full time. 3am to 11am Monday to Friday with a 30-minute unpaid break
Salary - Circa £25,000 to £28,000 salary per annum, depending on experience
Reports into – Purchasing Manager
Job Purpose:
As the Stock Controller you will provide accurate and timely processing of all stock coming into the Goods In area of our production facility. You’ll work closely with factory floor colleagues as well as key teams such as Purchasing, Production and Quality, to ensure your area operates efficiently and effectively.
The General Responsibilities will include:
- Accurate stock management, status, availability and monitoring
- Produce stock counts and reports with accuracy
- Apply the FIFO principle to stock rotation
- Be able to quickly identify where stock is
- Be the key point of contact for all stock related queries
Skills:
- Previous stock control experience would be an advantage
- Able to present a professional approach to all site visitors, drivers, and third parties
- IT literate, specifically in Word/Excel
- Strong written and spoken English
- Strong understanding of health and safety and its application in a food preparation and food production environment
- Used to working in a high pressure, fast paced and constantly changing environment
- Understanding of operational reporting, key information identification and critical issue escalation
- Excellent people skills and be passionate about achieving results through people
- Great communication skills and decision-making capabilities
- Logical approach to making decisions, promoting the customer comes first mindset
- Experience within an FMCG or food background is preferable
- Positive attitude and a professional approach
- Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
Working Conditions:
- 5 days per week 28 days holiday
