Maintenance Engineer

Henderson Brown are working with a well-established FMCG business who are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their team based local to Eye in Suffolk. You will be responsible for carrying out both electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of manufacturing machinery and equipment. You will become an integral part of the engineering team with great opportunities for development and recognition.

Due to industry peaks in production, you will need to be open to working both 4 on 2 off (days and nights) through peak and Monday to Friday (days only) during off peak.

Duties include:
*Respond and attend to breakdowns promptly and carry out accurate repairs to minimise downtime
*Carry out day to day preventative maintenance tasks
*Carry out mechanical and electrical fault-finding tasks
*Controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
*Involvement with engineering projects
*Be attentive with health and safety and follow safe working practices.
*Driving forklift trucks, teleporters, and tractors to move waste around site when required

Experience required for the Maintenance Engineer:
*Previous engineering experience within an FMCG environment or similar is essential
*Electrical skills with the relevant qualifications e.g., 18th Edition
*Familiar with heavy machinery e.g., conveyors, bucket elevators etc.
*Level 2 food safety would be highly advantageous

Package includes:
*£35,000-£40,000 salary per annum
*Annual leave entitlement of 25 days holiday + bank holidays
*Free Parking
*A varied working pattern- Monday to Friday and 4 on 2 off
