NPD Manager

The Company

Working in one of the most fast paced food sectors this entrepreneurial business is growing, taking on new customers and winning awards along the way. They are now looking for an impressive NPD Manager who can drive the food development strategy and ensure that customers are always delighted with the on-trend, fresh and tasty food offerings.

The Role

You will be heading up the NPD team and be instrumental in creating, implementing and managing the food innovation strategy with concept to launch responsibility.  Working closely with sales & marketing, you will use your hands on culinary expertise to develop great tasting products that will truly delight your customers.

You’ll strive towards achieving commercial growth by developing new innovative ranges that embody seasonal trends and quality ingredients.  You will encourage cross-functional teams to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to the success of products with a focus on innovation as well as quality and efficiency.

You’ll also play a major role in supplier strategy, ensuring every aspect of the product offering matches the company’s passion and authenticity down to the last crumb. In addition you will lead your team to success by providing motivation, guidance and opportunities for development whilst ensuring the team structure is robust enough for the company's ambitious growth plans.

The Person

We are looking for really foodie NPD Manager or Senior Product Developer with a creative flair and a proven track record of working in a hands on NPD role with full concept to launch understanding and spectacular presentation skills. You will have previous experience working in a complex chilled category and have an exceptional palate, understand ingredients, flavours, seasonality, food trends and range planning.  

You will need to be assertive but very approachable and be a good motivational leader with the ability to work closely with various teams to ensure the smooth running of projects. Brimming with ideas and inspiration you’ll have experience of bringing products to market that have pushed the boundaries and can drive a business forward.
