What does an Operations Graduate at Moy Park do?

Covering a multiple of disciplines which are integral to the successful operation of any food manufacturing business a career in Operations is varied and exciting and, in the current environment, this has never been more true. The pace and complexity of our product supply chain means that a career in Moy Park will be more diverse and challenging than many other businesses. We are looking for talented, ambitious & forward-thinking graduates to join our team and help shape the future of Moy Park

Throughout your 3 years on the programme you can expect to:-

  • Gain hands on experience supporting production teams at our prepared foods and fresh factories.
  • Learn different processes & understand how to run a production line and manage a team
  • Learn how to maintain product quality whilst keeping efficiency levels high
  • Be involved with real business projects to improve & streamline processes
  • Develop problem solving techniques in a high intensity environment & understand the financial impact of your decisions
  • Complete placements with our Operational Excellence, Process Development & Supply Chain functions & work directly with other departments to understand the greater scope of the business and the operations role.

What you’ll need:

  • Be ambitious and enthusiastic

  • Degree educated (2:1 or above) in any discipline
  • Aspire to be a future leader
  • Be self-motivated and enjoy working with people
  • Determined to find solutions / better ways to achieve results
  • Be willing to take on new challenges and work within a factory environment
  • Be adaptable to change and flexible to work & relocate to different locations across the Moy Park group of companies (GB & NI). On a typical programme this could mean placements of 12-18 months in NI and 12-18 months in GB

Your role:

When you join our award winning Graduate Programme at Moy Park you will:-

  • Learn different elements of your chosen area of interest to help you determine your long-term career area.
  • Have the opportunity to travel – Moy Park, the European Division of Pilgrim’s has 12 production sites and a large agriculture division across Great Britain and Northern Ireland, France and Netherlands. With secondments throughout your programme, you will get the opportunity to experience our various sites
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, giving you the chance to learn something new every day.
  • Be assigned to a senior manager as a mentor to guide you through your development as a graduate and beyond to ensure you reach your full potential.
  • Be given an individual development plan that has been designed by functional experts to gain a breadth of experience and knowledge across different placements across Moy Park.
  • Complete a minimum of four different placements during your 3 year programme
  • Gain development by attending management modules to ensure you have the right tools to be a future leader in Moy Park.
