Ultimately, when it comes to Technical, you need to find a business that respects quality and food safety and isn’t just about the numbers.
As Factory Technical Manager here, you’ll have the full support and backing from the Technical Manager and Site Director to drive the necessary changes on the shop floor along with the Operations Manager and Engineering Manager.
As a business they are having a big focus on the retention and development of their people, and with significant growth on the cards there will undoubtedly be promotion opportunities for grabs. (I have countless anecdotes for examples to back this up!)
You will be coming in to take complete ownership and responsibility of the factory for all food safety and quality matters. The type of role where if a customer is due on site, the Technical Manager has the confidence is in tip top shape for the audit!
You’ll also be coming in to manage a factory Quality team of 9 people, and your people management skills will need to be razor sharp. I mentioned earlier in this advert about retention and development. You will get this from the people above you, and it’s vital that you can come in and do the same. So you’ll need to have examples of where you’ve trained/coached/promoted people in previous teams.
It will be a challenging role, but at the same time there’ll be a big sense of achievement and accomplishment when you get it right, and your good work will certainly be recognised!
