Head of Sales - Tiger Foodservice
Hours: 45 hours per week (exc breaks)
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Salary: Dependant on Skills and Experience
Location: Nottingham
The Opportunity:
We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Head of Sales to join our Foodservice team at Tiger Foodservice.
The Role:
As the Head of Sales, you will report into the Managing Director and you will have responsibility for the Business Development Manager (BDM) team, Telesales Team and Cash & Carry Sales Team.
Responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the Sales Team; by maximizing revenue opportunities and optimizing profits. Responsible for identifying and cultivating new strategic opportunities and managing existing relationships. Manage engagement with other functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives.
Key Result Areas, Tasks and Main Duties:
Manage the Tiger Foodservice Business Development Manager (BDM) team, Telesales team and Cash & Carry Sales team.
Maximise company profit and margins, by overseeing development of existing customer base, forming relationships with key buyers and adding new customers.
Create and deliver a bold sales strategy for a broad range of customers, identifying and delivering new sales opportunities for the brand portfolio with emphasis on own label
Develop process and procedure for efficient onboarding of new customers in line with operational capabilities
Accurately forecast future sales. Create and implement sales plans with performance and budgetary goals accordingly.
To ensure a motivated, engaged, and efficient Sales team are working in partnership with the rest of the business including Marketing, Finance, Buying and Operations.
Co-coordinating the activation of all launches by ensuring alignment with both operations and commercial teams to meet agreed launch dates.
Coordinate and supervise the reactivation of lased customers in all depot.
Design and implement telemarking activity campaigns in Tiger Foodservice and depots
Coordinate liaison between sales department and other teams.
Review, analyse and present sales performance against planned margins & sales objectives including control of department overheads.
Continually review and adjust list prices
The Candidate - Skills & Experience required:
Broad experience of sales in all traditional trade channels. An individual who can apply this using a challenger mindset to gain brand traction with customers (and ultimately consumers) when competitors may have more resource and market share.
• Will bring evidence of achievement in brand led business, with a preference for experience in food / drink, including capability to utilise data to develop a category approach.
• Proven leadership and team working skills including the ability to work with and through others, set vision and achieve high standards by modernising systems & mindset, and to support and inspire others to develop and excel.
• Proven track record in devising and implementing strategies and operational plans which deliver objectives plus working knowledge of JBP’s.
• Experience of working collaboratively in a role requiring good persuasion and negotiation skills.
• The ability to build and nurture effective relationships and to influence stakeholders at all levels (internally and externally including agency partners).
• Extensive experience of resource and pricing management.
• The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and timescales.
• Working knowledge of Sales-I or other CRM application.
