Salary £60k - £70k depending on experience

Henderson Brown are working in partnership with a market leading chilled foods business with a strong heritage and a passion for what they do. As a progressive and dedicated business, the company are looking for an ambitious, driven, and motivated Engineering Manager to join and lead their engineering and maintenance division.

So, what are some of the duties?

*Full and effective people management of the team of engineers and other supporting roles
*Work collaboratively with other areas of manufacturing to ensure a joint approach to the prevention and resolution of engineering issues.
*Develop and maintain the asset care system
*Plan and control site engineering activities (PPMs, budget, 3rd party audits etc)
*Review frontline activities and ensure accurate recording
*Allocate resources to planned work and where necessary co-ordinate external resources
*Obtain designs, quotations and arrange all parts, equipment, and tools etc necessary to action jobs in conjunction with others
*Communicate analytical information and any changes within the manufacturing department.
*Manage all engineering contracts on site, ensuring that the necessary disciplines and site rules are adhered to; to manage the Permit to Work system to confirm to the required standards.
*Reduce energy costs and develop an energy efficient system

What skills and background are needed?
*Engineering background within food manufacturing or similar (e.g. fast-paced logistic environment etc.)
*3+ Years' experience of operating in engineering/maintenance management position
*Strong and proven leadership skills within an FMCG environment
*Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques e.g. Problem Solving, 5s, SMED would be highly advantageous
