My Client is a highly innovative manufacturer of products supplied to FMCG environments including Food and Drink. They are currently seeking a QC Technician who will join their QC team in a permanent role.  
The role of the QC Technologist is lab based and will be to ensure that all incoming goods, intermediates and finished goods are to the required standard through adherence to GMP. This role is focused on assuring quality through both testing of goods, monitoring of the production environment and support of the production and procurement teams
.
QC Technologist Responsibilities:
·Daily quality analysis of finished goods and raw materials
·Performing all necessary steps/analysis required by specifications for all finished goods and raw materials
·To produce certificates of analysis for all approved finished goods
·To ensure certificates of analysis accompany all incoming raw materials
·Responsible for reporting and photographing any damaged goods at point of delivery
·Operation and calibration of all standard QC equipment by following laboratory work instructions
· Assist in the running of the approval system for new and alternative materials
·Accurate completion of dispatch checklist and final checks on labels/finished goods prior to dispatch
·Carry out random spot checks on production paperwork and CCP's
·Obtain all samples required for monthly microbiological hygiene schedule including swabs and potable water
·Perform proficiency tests as required
·Recording of all non-conforming products
·Authorisation to access bond and to authorise others as required
·Maintain good housekeeping in the QC lab
 
 
QC Technologist Skills Required
·Previous Lab experience ideally in a food /drink environment.
·A science qualification
·Good computer skills and happy to carry out administration tasks.
 
QC Technologist Salary and Benefits
A salary of up to £21,000 DOE
·10% Pension
·28 days holiday (inc Bank Holidays) + 3 days holiday over Christmas when the site shuts down
